Seed & oat bread
(dairy and gluten free)
If, like me, you are a bread lover and are looking for something delicious and guilt free look no further than this recipe. It's filled with a healthy variety of ingredients so you can enjoy it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Ingredients:
150g oat flour
50g ground flaxseed
30g ground sesame seeds
30g sunflower seeds
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
10g levex raising agent
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon organic honey
3 tablespoons chia seeds
himalayan salt to sprinkle on top
In a bowl mix the oat flour, flaxseed, sesame seeds, coconut oil, salt, pepper, honey, levex and turmeric.
In a separate bowl cover the chia seeds with water and allow them to fully absorb the water. The chia seeds act like a dairy-free replacement for eggs.
Once the chia seeds have absorbed all the water add them to the bread mixture and stir well. Slowly add water until you reach a dough consistency, and then transfer the mixture to your greased baking tin. Sprinkle with some Himalayan salt and cook in the oven on medium heat for 60-90 minutes until the top is nicely brown and a knife comes out dry.
